Membership Qualifications and Status
Membership of the Association is open to individuals, public or private organizations, that thinks along the objectives of the Association. The membership categories is as follows
a. Professional Member
i. Individuals who are holders of Bachelor of Fisheries/Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Management or Aquaculture and Master of Science in Fisheries Management or Aquaculture with relevant publications.
ii. Individuals who does not have a first degree in Fisheries Management or Aquaculture but possess both M Sc. and Ph.D. in the areas of Fisheries Management or Aquaculture and have relevant publications.
iii. Individuals who hold only a Ph.D. in Fisheries Management or Aquaculture with fifteen years cognate experience as a scientists and have a minimum of twenty relevant publications.
b. Associate Member
i. Individuals who are holders of Bachelor of Fisheries/Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Management or Aquaculture.
ii. Shall be successful in Certification process to become Professional member of the Association.
c. Honorary Member
Individuals who are not professionals but deal with product and services on fisheries and aquaculture.
d. Student Member
i. Shall be post-graduate student pursuing Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy in any area of Capture Fisheries Management or Aquaculture.
ii. Shall be successful in Certification process to become Professional member of the Association.
e. Corporate Member
Shall be public or corporate organization, recognised for contributions to fisheries research and development, or the growth of the Association.
f. Life Member
Shall be individual Professional Member or Corporate Member who has been member of the Association for 50 years.NOTE: Applicants are required to download and fill the attached form; the filled form and full curriculum vitae should be forwarded to a anifs2015@gmail.com.
